Position: CEI Inspector (Senior)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform field inspection assignments and coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors.
- Conducts quality control material testing analysis and reporting.
- Conducts punch list identification and contract closeout review.
- Serves as an advisor and mentor to junior level project team members.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of four years of experience in construction inspection, two years of which shall have been in bridge or roadway construction inspection. One year of experience required if holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Must also currently have or be willing to obtain the additional required certifications listed below, as a minimum, within twelve months of hire:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT’s) Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP)
- CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I
CERTIFICATIONS:
- International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Technician Level I
- FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and system maps.
- Ability to understand and follow contractor schedules.
- Ability to carry 40 pounds (testing equipment).
- Ability to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, periodic weekend and night work may be required.
- Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
- Ability to coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors in an efficient manner
