KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Technical knowledge of civil engineering and design standards.
  • Progressively increasing knowledge and understanding of the project development process, including site planning and site engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proven presentation skills are required.
  • Progressively increasing ability to serve as a technical specialist in civil engineering for various assignments and tasks.
  • Progressively increasing ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgement in anticipating and solving unpredictable engineering problems.
  • Progressively increasing ability to manage project budget and schedule.
  • Progressively increasing ability to lead and direct a team of engineers and subconsultants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the overall management of assigned projects(s) and coordination of the A/E Consults of Record and the Contractor.
  • Performs and directs others in accordance with the EAC’s policies and to the satisfaction of the client’s requirements.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the project to ensure an effective design that meets the needs of the stakeholders.
  • Assures that each project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
  • Identifies causes for revisions to projects and whether such changes are billable to the client.
  • Responsible for contract and scope management

EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically five years’ post registration experience.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or related field.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
