Salary:  $140k – $180k annually depending upon experience

Location: Remote or one of our EAC office locations, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach or Orlando.

Position: Highway Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Project Manager

DISCIPLINE/AREA OF CONCENTRATION:

PD&E Project Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Project Development process and the application of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). 
  • Knowledge of the Environmental and Public Involvement activities required for PD&E Studies. 
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, State (FDOT) and Municipal (Green Book) design criteria, standards and plans preparation requirements.
  • Knowledge in Traffic Demand and Analysis, Highway Horizontal and Vertical Alignment, Structures, Drainage, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing and Pavement Markings, Signalization, Lighting, Utilities, Structures, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Tolling and design or coordination of all engineering disciplines required for the development of engineering alternatives for a project. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proven presentation skills are required.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Progressively increasing ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgement in the development of possible alternatives to address the Purpose and Need for a project.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Engineer of Record where needed. 
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work. 
  • Works closely with senior-level Project Managers to deliver assignments that meet client requirements and expectations. 
  • Makes design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications. Performs calculations using engineering formulas and skills. 
  • Prepares reports and correspondence. 
  • Serves as a technical advisor to junior-level project team members. 

Business Development 

Implements the company’s Business Development policies and procedures. This includes the preparation of a comprehensive Pursuit/Win Plan.

  • Maintains positive relationship with current and past clients. 
  • Seeks potential opportunities to market firm’s engineering services and strategizes best approach for the pursuit.  Pursuit may be conventional, design build or Public Private Partnerships.
  • Active marketing of projects including client meetings, proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Lead pursuits as a Pursuit Manager and work within the assigned BD budget to secure wins in line with assigned goals and goals of the Department. 

 EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience.

 EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
